2021 National LGBT+ Youth Tech Summer Camp

• Want to learn how to build a visual novel video game?  
• Want to learn in a safe space with other LGBT+ youth?
• Want to explore game developement, coding & digital art?
• Want to learn alongside other youth by a camp led by youth?

11am - 3pm CST (4 hrs each day) 

Cohort Based: Must attend all days of workshop to register

This free virtual Summer Tech Camp is focused on providing a safe space for LGBT+ youth ages 14-19.  

We also provide paid stipend support for youth who have personally been or had their family impacted by one of the following systems:

· Foster care / child welfare system

· Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers

· Incarceration / jails, prisons, and juvenile detention centers

Black and Pink National, in partnership with Maven Youth, is offering a FREE 2-week virtual summer tech camp LGBTQ+ youth across the US.  This camp is led by amazing LGBTQ+ youth who walk participants through all the coding and digital art workshops.

Black & Pink National is a prison abolitionist organization dedicated to abolishing the criminal punishment system and liberating LGBTQIA2S+ people and people living with HIV/AIDS who are affected by that system through advocacy, support and organizing.

Maven Youth’s summer camps are highly requested, so please make sure to sign up only if you are very interested and can commit to the full program.  We have limited space and want to ensure as many youth can have access to our program as possible.

NO CODING EXPERIENCE is needed to apply.

Requirements for youth interested in this camp are the following:

• 14-19 years old
• LGBT+ Youth 
• No coding experience required
• Laptop required for coding (can be provided by Maven Youth / Black & Pink)
• Wi-Fi required for attending virtual camp
• Must attend ALL Camp days (4 hours each day)
