Taaliyah Tucker
Staff In Training (SIT)
Taaliyah (TeeTee) is a passionate advocate for mental health and social justice, dedicated to empowering youth and shaping policies that improve access to care. A third-year Health & Related Sciences student at LATTC, she serves on the Youth Boards of the Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Network and the California School-Based Health Alliance, working to reduce stigma and promote mental health resources.
Her advocacy began in high school, shifting from Culinary Arts to fighting for youth-centered policies. She has played a key role in legislative efforts, including SB-954 Youth Health and Safety Act, and worked with Senator Menjivar to advance youth-focused policies. Through the Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health – Student Advisory Board, she has helped improve LAUSD schools and mental health services while championing School-Based Health & Education Partnerships.
For Taaliyah, advocacy is personal—it’s about making sure every young person feels heard, valued, and supported. She continues to expand her impact at the state level, ensuring youth voices are at the center of decision-making.
