Jade Truncale
Senior Software Engineer
In Jade's Words
What may be a strange fact: I'm the product of a Catholic school upbringing. Through the years I've spent a lot of time figuring myself out, unlearning some things from back then, trying to deal with the issues that arise from a queer kid being in a very unfriendly environment. I've always loved computers, though- and naturally that turned into me pursuing (and obtaining) a B.S. in Computer Science. Since then, I've been doing my fair share of odd jobs and hobbies; it's only natural that I would find Maven Youth- a space where instead of crushing the hopes and dreams of young people (again, Catholic school) - it'd be taking them seriously and giving much needed opportunities.
I think my time with Maven, so far, has given me a greater appreciation for the greater world out there. I had not known many people like me who were, well, also into tech. This space is a lot of that, and so I've learned that my story can be similar to others.
