In James's Words

When I first entered Maven Youth, I was only a freshman in high school, and although I was very interested in tech, I didn’t have much experience or confidence with it.

After my first summer with the tech camp, I got the opportunity to become a youth leader for future camps for future camps and events. My experience as a youth leader gave me valuable teaching and leadership experience. My experience with Maven Youth gave me skills and experiences that I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.

I am now in my second year studying Experimental Animation at the California Institute of the Arts and teach animation to middle and high school students with the CalArts Community Arts Partnership program. I have produced several short films both within and outside of my studies at CalArts.
