In Kyler's Words

Coming into Maven Youth, I’d never seen someone like me in the tech industry, and I doubted I would ever find my place in a tech company.

As a camper, Maven Youth provided a safe place for me to grow and discover my career interests.

As a leader, Maven Youth taught me how to work with people from all different backgrounds and more importantly, how to embrace those differences and use them to connect with each other. 

This past summer, I interned with NASA and helped to create a mobile app addressing many of the major challenges new employees face. My experiences with Maven Youth gave me the confidence to excel at my internship and take on stretch assignments to improve diversity and inclusion policies at NASA. I worked with the NASA Diversity Council and presented my project to NASA Headquarters. 

I am currently finishing my last semester at the University of Pennsylvania as a psychology and neuroscience student and hope to pursue a career in product management at a tech company.
